THOUGHTS ON TRUE BLOOD

Hi everyone. I was thinking about your campaign and what you'll be moving forward with for next class. Per our conversation last night, you will be moving forward with computer comps for your:

- vial DM piece
- pendant DM piece

You will also be coming up with the third DM to round out the campaign.

For your blood drive, it may be difficult to find stock for that idea. I passed by one of the taco trucks in downtown and realized they look a lot like a blood donation / ice cream truck. You could shoot it when they first arrive (and there aren't yet people standing in line), and use that image to wrap your design over. Then, if you shot it after people arrived at the taco truck, you'd have the crowd - at the same angle - so you could layer the images and show both the clean image of the blood drive truck and the crowd that gathers to sample... Just a thought.

Also, I think your mockumentary idea is solid enough to begin the script and begin casting and location scouting. AAU has the photography studios, as well as the new multimedia studio that looks like it's set up similar to a newsroom.

Let me know how comfortable you are with the shooting and pre-production process. Regardless, getting the right actor can take some time, as well as the script development - so it will be good to get started.

Lastly, please confirm your campaign elements on the blog. I know you had a lot of ideas that were up in the air, like the posters, manaquins, coasters, ect. Please identify the pieces you are committed to producing in this class.
